Amount of grant awarded: € 50,000 ($ 55,000). The WOF Foundation is co-financing this project with the ILO of Cambodia and the National Social Security Fund (NSSF), the NSSF dedicating an additional amount of € 100,000 ($ 125,000).

Support the promotion of the Cambodian social protection system to promote its generalization
The Weave Our Future Foundation acts with the ILO and the National Social Security Fund (NSSF) to promote the country's social health protection system. Since 2016, Cambodia has implemented a system of social protection, initially intended for workers in garment and footwear industry. Dedicated to extending to their families, integrating ascendants, then to very small enterprises, including those of the informal sector, this device is likely to become a generalized system of social security in the country.
To support the information campaign on this device, the Weave our Future Foundation has decided to get involved for $ 55,000 (€ 50,000).
The project will help raise awareness and educate workers and employers about the right to social protection while developing the capacity of the NSSF to communicate effectively about its projects. It will complement other ILO activities and projects in the field of social protection and the promotion of decent work in the garment sector in Cambodia.
To June 2018, thanks to the project, the number of members of NSFF has doubled, and rises to 1.4 million of workers. In parallel, the foundation will work to mobilize the local associative partners to amplify the scope of this information campaign.
